Zen Micro and Apple Mac
I'll leave it to Shoegal to expound on the joys of suddenly owning a Zen Micro. My only contribution is to point out the method of using it while also owning a Mac.
The Zen matches the Mac quite nicely, with a sleek white back and cheerful coloured facia. So its only right that it should be compatible with it. However, even using Windows 2000 on Virtual PC to run the Zen's own software not one file could I get it to transfer to the little glowing blighter.
Then, after a bit of lateral Google searching I found the lovely XNJB . If you're concerned about such things, it is also open source.

Good stuff... but why oh why did you not get an iPod and cut out all this grief? ;-)
iPod shmiPod. Neve rhad any trouble with my creative products. Just hooked em up and ready to go. Plus no having to worry about formats and the hassle of itunes not playing on other stuff.
Ah, but Fence, you are working on a PC. The Zen would have welcomed a PC with open arms and the embrace would have been returned.
But it turns its back on Macs and has to be coaxed to admit they exist at all.
I do have an iPod mini, but home computers must be able to cater for the needs of all the home users- even those who want to use Zen Micros.
Ipod smhmipod is correct! I got the Micro because it has a radio - a serious lack in the iPod in my opinion. Also, it looks better. I have the orange one.
Ahhhh, apple's not zen enough then :)
Perhaps it is more zen then you think... if shoegal has been left pondering the concept of emptiness for the last few days.
