Become a Columnist

Columnists are the backbone of tuppenceworth.ie. These noble souls have agreed to contribute a piece of writing at a regular interval. And you could be one of them.

To see your name in a very small light on your computer screen, you just have to decide what interval suits you best.

Currently on offer we have such periods of time as weekly, fortnightly, and monthly. And you can switch slots mid run if your circumstances change. (If you find yourself waking every night and feverishly scribbling until dawn, for example).

You don't have to write on the same topic all the time, so let your mind roam free if you like. Alternatively, become the in-house expert on whatever makes your friends groan whenever you start talking about it.

To start with, send us an article of approximately 1000 words mentioning whether you'd like to write weekly, fortnightly or monthly. The only rule is that you can't libel anyone because living in a hole in the ground and eating mud is no fun. We can't go back to those days.

You should send your pieces as attachments in just text format (txt) or in the body of an email to ideas@tuppenceworth.ie. If we get them in Word doc format the design monkey goes mad, so be warned.

And from then on (as our columnists attest) it's all swimming pools, movie stars.
