Tonight I stumbled upon something much more exotic \u2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sacred_harp\">Sacred Harp Singing<\/a>. It is the oldest extant form of indigenous American music, and it is ace. Have a listen to the three sample tracks on the website for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.awakemysoul.com\/\">Awake, My Soul<\/a>, a documentary on the tradition (soundtrack album <a href=\"http:\/\/dust-digital.com\/sacred-harp.htm\">here<\/a>), and tell me they aren\u2019t the weirdest, most stirring things you\u2019ve heard in ages.
