Very Technical Question

I’m looking for a way of taking in an RSS feed which requires authentication and outputting an RSS feed which doesn’t. I can’t programme, or install anything complicated. I know Planet, a feed aggregator, can do this but it is beyond my skills to set it up.

Does anyone have anything foolproof? Isn’t there a webpage somewhere where I put the RSS feed address and authentication details in on one page and then the next page gives me my new feed address?

Over to you, clever folk.

  2. Simon,

I’ve discovered the funky Yahoo Pipes already has a “pipe” you can use that was created by some nice person.

Pipes is basically a drag n drop “programming tool”. I can walk you through using it but you can trial the authenticated_feed->non_authenticated_feed pipe here:

    http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.info?_id=ChgxzmTd2xGblhSrnkartA

and if it works ok for you, you can “clone” it to have your own copy that can be changed to suit yourself.
