If politics is a battle for power, Bertie Ahern was never beaten.

If politics is a clash of ideas,  he leaves us with a nil-all draw.

    I’m reminded of the old Channel 4 show “Drop the dead Donkey”…

    “What’s all this fuss about a power cut in Dublin? Some Tea-shop has lost power and it’s all over the news”.
