Government and Privacy Talk in Trinity Tonight

For those who might be interested, there is a talk on "Government and Privacy in the Digital Age" in Trinity College tonight. Suw Charman, Executive Director of the UK's Open Rights Group will be giving the keynote and TJ McIntyre of Digital Rights Ireland will be responding. It's chaired by Dr Eoin O'Dell of Trinity's Law Faculty as part of the Dublin Legal Workshop series of talks.

OPW: No Decision Made

I spoke to the EO I've been dealing with in the OPW today. He confirmed that no decision had been made regarding the proposed changes to the portico of the Four Courts, including installing railings across the entrance to close them off. This is contrary to the maps issued by the Courts Service recently in relation to changes in the security arrangements at the Four Courts.
