It seems that Irish bloggers are not the only ones to have recently engaged in navel-gazing about this thing we call Blog (we just love to blog about blogging, don't we?). I don't often post links independent of a larger post, but when the New York Review of Books runs a piece on the subject of blogging, we here at Tuppenceworth sit up and take notice.
Still all a-flutter from last week's Newstalk appearance, I will be on Shannonside Radio's Joe Finnegan Show tomorrow morning at 10am-ish, talking about not watching TV. My appearance on Morning Ireland, discussing the Passenger Pigeon cannot now be far away.
Well that was a novel experience. I said more or less everything I wanted to this morning, but if I may, a few final observations:I didn't pay very much attention to the original "Waters hates blogs" kerfuffle, and decided to appear on the show after being invited by Newstalk.

Last night, unexpectedly, I was called by Newstalk's Breakfast Show and asked how I thought the electorate were reacting to the personal attacks between Enda Kenny and Bertie Ahern. Firstly, I pointed out that my record of reading the mind of the electorate is similar to my success at becoming heavyweight champion of the world.

I've been feeling increasingly uncomfortable about my membership of Facebook. It does perform a useful service, and I've been delighted to reconnect with college friends and see pictures of their lovely kids. But.
